Orientation for New Volunteers

Why am I required to participate in a volunteer orientation?

​

Literacy Nassau is committed to ensuring that we place volunteers in a role that speaks to them. Our face-to-face orientation meeting reviews our mission and history and gives an overview of each of our programs.  

​

Please complete the form on this page and indicate which meeting you are able to attend. 

​

Our volunteer opportunities are based on student enrollment and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.  

 

Orientation Schedule

​​​Wednesday, May 22 from 10:00-11:00am

Thursday, May 23 from 6:00-7:00pm Tuesday, June 11 from 1:00-2:00pm

Thursday, June 13 from 6:00-7:00pm

All meetings are in-person at our office located at Literacy Nassau - 1 Ivy Lane in Wantagh.
