Adult Basic Literacy Students Registration Information

Basic Literacy Learners (BLL) are adults who are usually native born and speak English.  These students either weren’t afforded the appropriate chances to be educated or had undiagnosed learning disabilities as children that prohibited them from keeping up.  We offer small group instruction classes using the Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach to teach adult BL students the OG principles of reading and writing.  These groups of 3-5 students meet 1.5 hours, twice a week, at local libraries.

Students must register in person in our office.  At registration, you will be tested in order to be appropriately placed in our basic literacy program.

YOU MUST CALL 516-867-3580 TO MAKE A TESTING APPOINTMENT.
